The following is an introduction to ventilation fans that contribute to preserving the environment in tunnels.

Jet fans

These fans remove soot and carbon monoxide emitted from vehicles to maintain safe and comfortable driving.
Ventilation is carried out in the direction the vehicles travel, which contributes to reducing the construction cost.

Features

Axial-flow fans have a simple structure with impellers fitted to a motor contained in a casing to which noise-absorbing material has been applied, and are suspended from tunnel ceilings for use.

Jet fan: Can blow in both directions

Option specifications

  • Low-noise jet fan to reduce the noise at tunnel openings
  • All-stainless-steel jet fan for high corrosion resistance

Fields of application

Road tunnel ventilation

Ventilators & exhaust fans

Large axial-flow fans with diameters ranging from 2,000-4,000 mm are installed in long tunnels to draw in fresh air and expel polluted air. Also, many axial-flow fans are installed in thermal power stations.

Features

  1. Suitable for ventilation with large flow rates.
  2. Can be installed either vertically or horizontally to fit the installation space.

Specifications

Tunnel ventilation: Max. spec. for 4,000 mm, single-stage, 307 m³/s 1.52 kPa, 690 kW
Thermal power stations: Max. spec. for 4,250 mm, 2 stages, 832 m³/s, 8.14 kPa, 9,100 kW

Option specifications

  • Varlable pitch blade type: A mechanism is provided for changing the blade angle as desired during operation of the fan, so the flow rate can be managed according to the objective, and running costs can be reduced.

(in-house compurison)

Fields of application

  • For ventilation in long tunnels and tunnels in cities (drawing in and expelling air)
  • Maintenance of the environment at the tunnel openings (concentrated exhaust discharge)
  • Forced draft fans and induced draft fans for thermal power stations
